Document the security arrangements for personal data held in paper files. For example using lockable filing cabinets, employing a clean desk policy, using reliable and security archive arrangements, ensuring reliable and secure confidential and ordinary waste disposal arrangements.
Document how you ensure the reliability of staff whose work involves handling personal data. For example taking up references and supervising new employees, providing training on security and confidentiality issues and house security policies as documented above.
Security Arrangements & Confidentiality
Consider the adequacy of the security arrangements you have in place in relation to the confidentiality of the data you process. Strengthen your arrangements as necessary.
Review your security arrangements periodically to ensure that you are still providing adequate security for personal data considering the risk of disclosure or damage and the harm that could result.
